We are looking for an accomplished *Back-End Developer* to join our fun
team. Ruby on Rails is the primary platform and whilst RoR experience would
be advantageous, we are interested in finding a talented professional with
a willingness to learn and collaborate. As a Developer at Hardhat, you will
be involved in projects from inception to final delivery, collaborating
with the strategy team, the design team and the front-end development team
throughout the entirety of a project.

Software development in Ruby on Rails (and optionally JS, .Net or Python
if that's your flavour)

Designing and building databases (Sqlite, MySQL, Postgres)

Developing custom software for physical installations, like this one:

Process improvement and new ways of working to improve efficiency

Integrating with (and writing your own) APIs
-

Writing Javascript / Typescript

Mentoring less experienced developers

Collaborating in roadmapping sessions

Administering Linux servers

A proven track record in a similar role

An active blog or Github account (or equivalent)

Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science

Proficiency in Linux administration

Experience in any non-run-of-the-mill programming languages (think
Clojure, Rust, Haskell, D, Prolog, Go, etc, etc)
