Our client is multi-award winning product based and ASX listed company.
They have offices all over Aus and internationally.


*Requirements:*


The Web Developer role will be a key part of the continued development of
the Expense Management platform. You will be working as a part of our
Product Development team, taking the initiative in determining and scoping
requirements and ultimately developing, testing and delivering regular
updates to our products.


*Location: Australia -*This role can be based in the client’s Sydney
(Chatswood) or Melbourne (St Kilda) office. Thus candidates from both
locations can apply. Client is *NOT OPEN to work from home.*




*Requirements*



We’re looking for someone with the following skills and attributes:

• 2-6 years Professional experience as a member of a software
development team

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering or
similar (desirable, but not mandatory)

• Solid experience with Ruby on Rails, RSpec and PostgreSQL

• Experience with React and Redux (optional, but a huge bonus)

• Experience using Git and GitHub (or similar)

• HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Experience deploying applications using AWS tools and technologies

* Your key responsibilities will be*:

• Take the initiative in determining requirements, outlining plans,
documenting, developing, testing, deploying and delivering new projects and
features

• Work with project managers and the development team to help
prioritize and schedule work

• Keep projects on-track by ensuring that support issues and requests
are logged, documented, tracked, and kept up-to-date

• Strive to apply test-driven development practices across all projects

• Contribute to peer-review of new code to help ensure quality and
contribute to the growth of fellow team members

• Ensure that our code stored safely in a repository and is documented
in an informative, accurate, up-to-date and easily accessible manner

• Be proactive in monitoring and responding to critical system issues

• Ensure that all production environments are secure and up-to-date

• Make sure that tickets are triage, assigned and resolved fairly
among the rest of the team

• Maintain and update professional and technical knowledge; review
publications, keep abreast of industry developments and investigate the
viability of new technologies as they evolve

• Be an active participant in the development team by contributing to
discussions and participating in knowledge sharing effort

• Actively contribute positively to the culture and values of the
company
