Hi Everyone.

I'm currently recruiting for a role within a successful American start-up
looking to place roots in Australia.

The role initially would be to build out integrations using Ruby and the
REST API for Red Hat Cloudforms. The Role is within a DevOps team reporting
directly to the VP of Technology for the Asia Pacific Region.

Contract is initially for 3 months, with a strong probability of an
extension. You'll need to have an advanced understanding of Ruby (Rails
isnt necessary)

Day Rate is around 500 per day, but is negotiable for the right skills and
experience. I've put the Spec for the Job below. If you know someone
capable of the role, or you're capable




*The role*
One of our partners, a leading US digital start-up, currently expanding
their footprint in APAC in 2017 is looking for an experienced Full Stack
Ruby Developer to work within a complex technical environment. You'll be
hands on while gathering requirements from stakeholders and participate in
Technology discussions to contribute to their innovation strategy.

*Responsibilities*

- Providing technical expertise to address technical and strategic IT
needs for the client
- Integration builds using Ruby to extend the Red Hat CloudForms platform
- Full-stack / VMware VCenter deployments
- Ruby application servers configuration and deployment using Ansible
- Travelling to the HK offices (all travel expenses paid)

*Skills / Experience*

- Excellent coding skills using Ruby - Specifically in integration
patterns
- Strong experience using Ansible in configuration and deployment
- Working knowledge of Cloud Management Platforms such as Red Hat
Cloudforms
- Strong experience in Full Stack Deployments
- Exposure to modern methodologies such as
Agile/DevOps/Automation/Orchestration and Configuration Management.
- Experience working closely to and collaborating with technical and
non-technical stakeholders.

Agreed, $500/day is unrealistic for senior ruby engineer with the
additional skillset required. At least $850 and potentially north of $1000
would be more realistic. It's a contractor's market over here, demand for
tech talent is extremely high and there's very limited supply.
